New job and other life changes

This month, I left UTSA after 17.5 years. It was a difficult decision, and leaving was bittersweet, but this is the best path forward for me and Margaret. I am happy to announce that I am now working at a Unicon, Inc, a professional services company that specializes in supporting learning at all levels, from K-12 to higher education. I am technically labeled a Software Developer 3, but my role will be to continue to support Identity and Access Management outcomes in all forms, just for more than the one university.

In my personal life, Margaret and I are working on getting our house ready to show. We are soon to be empty nesters and with her medical situaion we are looking to sell everything (well, almost everything) and hit the road. The time is right, and we need to do this while she is physically capable of traveling around the country. We don’t know how much time she has with her Pulmonary Hypertension so let’s get ’er done!

We will keep everyone posted on our full-time RV life. Margaret is also thinking about creating a Youtube channel where we discuss the realities of travel with her specific disease (or any serious chronic condition, really). The people on her PAH Facebook groups are very excited about this.
